As you can tell by the title, my Ox Tales videos arrived today. Both boxes were in great condition ("Ollie, Ollie Oxen" was slightly faded but nothing major). Funny Farm Madness is officially volume two of the video series and "Ollie, Ollie Oxen" is number three. I haven't watched either indepth yet but you can bet that is coming in the very near future.
So far I have watched Funny Farm Madness. I was mainly just playing it through to see what kind of condition it was in. I was making a DVD+R backup at the same time so I wouldn't have to watch the tape again and risk wearing it out. The picture wasn't in the greatest of conditions but it was watchable. At various points the screen pulls at the top so I'm going to have to look for a better copy before I can get screen caps from this release.
Funny Farm Madness is strange in it's playlist. The cartoons are kind of back to front and muddled up as far as the episode guide goes. You'll see what I mean here:
1. "Digging a Well" (ep.9)
2. "Nest Making Contest" (ep.12)
3. "Snow" (ep.16)
4. "The Horse Race" (ep.18)
5. "Who Stole the Milk?" (ep.15)
6. "Woody" (ep.17)
7. "Shooting Contest" (ep.14)
8. "The Lost Baby Elephant" (ep.21)
9. "Jumpy Baby" (ep.13)
10. "Gaylord" (ep.19)
So you have episode 9, episodes 12 thru 19 (albeit in a jumbled order) and episode 21. What happened to 10, 11 and 20 I don't know. I had a quick look at "Ollie, Ollie Oxen" and episode 20 ("It's Hard to Be King") is the first on the tape.
Tomorrow I'll be making the backup DVD of "Ollie, Ollie Oxen" so I should have a playlist for it by then.
Super color scheme, I like it! Keep up the good work. Thanks for sharing this wonderful site with us.
